Last updated October 6, 2026

Privacy notice

This notice covers hillcountrystartup.com, the website for Hill Country Startup Night: The Pitch Competition. The site is run by Dripping Springs Sports Club (DSSC) in Dripping Springs, Texas.

What we collect

  • Invitation requests: your name, email, company and title, party size, who invited you, whether you invest in early-stage companies, any notes you add, and your answers to the two consent questions.
  • Startup applications: your company, the founders' names, email, a one-line description, where you are based, stage, category, whether you are raising and how much, website, a link to a deck if you give one, and any notes.
  • Technical data: a one-way scrambled form of your internet address, kept only to stop spam and repeated submissions. We do not use advertising trackers or sell anything you send us.

How we use it

  • To review invitation requests and applications, and to reply to you.
  • To plan the evening: headcount, booths and the pitch order.
  • To send you information about this event. We will not add you to an unrelated mailing list.

Who sees it

The event team at Dripping Springs Sports Club and the event's co-hosts. If you apply to pitch, the selection committee and the judges also see your application. We do not sell or rent your information.

We store submissions with Supabase and send email through Resend, both acting as our service providers. The site is hosted by Vercel.

Photos and video

Photos and video will be taken at the event and may be used to share it afterwards. If you would rather not appear, leave the photo box unticked when you request an invitation, or tell us on the night.

How long we keep it

We keep submissions for up to twelve months after the event, then delete them, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what you sent us, email drew@drippingsportsclub.com. We will reply within 30 days.
